We have learned that attracting, developing, and retaining superior employees is not just important, it is essential, and culture trumps everything. Second to our people, tools in the hands of skilled leadership can result in products and services that are superior and excel beyond our wildest dreams. Being technical folks, we know having inadequate and less than robust tools in our hands only bring frustration, disappointment, and reduced production. Quality tools have a united objective, IMPROVEMENT. I hope to share with you in a three-part series, Tools of the Quality Management Trade.

Part one – Money:  Increasing Our Financial Position
Disruption and risk caused by our perceived reductions will usually be proportional to the degree of cutting we can do. The question must be, how do we increase our financial position. Remember, plan for what you want, not what you do not want. Incremental financial change with minimal impact on our companies and agencies can allow you to trim up to 20% of costs. Most of those costs can be called LOSS. Loss is off the bottom line. That is profit to the Home Performance contractor and an increase in our operation budget if you are a Non-Profit. How can we turn either down?

Learning Objectives:

• Learn how money is our life blood, without it we lose opportunity
• Learn how to calculate the cost of poor quality and how to add lost money to the bottom line
• Learn to eliminate any work for which the cost exceeds the value

This webinar will focus on Edward L. Deci’s book Why We Do What We Do. You might want to purchase the book. You will not be disappointed. I will bookend Deci’s book with other books, articles, and research. We will draw our attention to - Instead of asking, “How can I motivate my people?” we should be asking, “How can I create the conditions within which people will motivate themselves?” The question we need to ask is, “Is a behavior autonomous or controlled?” To be autonomous means to act in accord with one’s self – it means feeling free and volitional in one’s action. To be controlled means to act because one is being pressured. If you want increased productivity and harmony in the workplace do not miss this webinar.

Learning Objectives:

1. Gain an understanding of self – motivation

2. Learn how to promote autonomy

3. Learn how to get the healthy behavior you want

COVID-19 may eventually get a vaccine, and the world back to some semblance of normalcy. But the consensus opinion is that the new ways of "low-touch" interaction are permanent aspects of our post-pandemic life. This will fundamentally alter how contractors acquire new customers, interact with them through the sales process, and do business overall.

Energy Circle CEO and Founder Peter Troast will discuss ways in which HVAC, home performance, and solar contractors can prepare their business and marketing strategies for this new, low-touch world and the fundamental changes in the customer communication and interaction process of which to be aware.

“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena; it will make more progress in one decade than all the previous centuries of its existence.”     Nikola Tesla

How we think about our reality drives our actions and results we want. Our thinking is dominantly focused on what we can see and not by what we cannot see. I believe that universal laws run our personal and work lives and can result in the business success we seek. The laws we will discuss are as sure as the law of gravity and are critical to business success.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn what defines a Universal Law
2. Learn how Universal Laws govern our lives and businesses
3. Learn about the unseen world and how Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton agree with Nikola Tesla

Reviews play a major role in your home performance or HVAC company’s visibility online. They affect your ability to get leads and ultimately, the success of your business. With review signals being one of the top factors deciding whether or not your company will rank in the Google Local Pack, and the importance of ranking well on third-party review sites, review management remains a crucial business practice for strong reputation management and lead generation. In 2020, the battle for reviews is no longer just about star averages and quantities--today the content of the reviews themselves take on increasing importance.

During this webinar, Energy Circle Founder and CEO Peter Troast will answer:

• Why are reviews so important for rankings?
• How should you prioritize the most important sites to have reviews on?
• What kind of review request processes produce a steady flow?
• What has changed in the review environment in light of COVID-19?
• What do I do about a negative review?
