On November 7 and 8 Building Performance Institute (BPI) will join exhibitors, speakers, and attendees from around the country for BPA’s Upper Midwest Regional Conference & Trade Show. We’re looking forward to two days of region-specific education, networking opportunities, and the trade show.

You can find us in the exhibit hall and among the presenters. Larry Zarker will present a session on Tiered Credentials for Healthy Home Eevaluation on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. BPI’s Healthy Home Evaluator credential was created for the person who has the diagnostic test capabilities to perform the in-home diagnostic testing work. Now we also offer a Healthy Housing Principles Certificate of Knowledge and reference guide, which helps a much broader audience, like community health workers and in-home nurses, conduct preliminary healthy homes assessments when they are in homes.

This tiered approach creates a much-needed preliminary assessment in advance of more in-depth assessments, and expands the number and variety of professionals who can help families understand the importance of the home environment to their health.
