Why Become a BPI GoldStar Contractor?

The BPI GoldStar Contractor program introduces established problem-solving techniques, tools, templates, and process improvement methods. Our focus is on reducing company waste and achieving consistency in day-to-day operations.

Quality management experts estimate that 25-40% of dollars spent by a typical contracting business is wasted. Companies that are truly focused on quality don’t spend more money. Instead, they reduce waste, cut operating costs, and invest in processes that result in greater profits, customer loyalty, and company stability.

The result of joining the BPI GoldStar Contractor program is confidence that quality is profitable and can set your company apart in the marketplace.

What Will BPI GoldStar Contractors Learn?

Working with the most respected experts in the home performance industry, including Advanced Energy, EnergyCircle Pro, and others, the BPI GoldStar Contractor program will introduce you to established quality control processes, tools, templates, and problem solving techniques, tailored to home performance contracting. Consumer Outreach

BPI wants American homeowners to know about the exceptional quality of BPI GoldStar Contractors. That’s why we support you with consumer outreach, including a Google AdWords search engine and display advertising campaign that drives homeowners to our contractor locator tool, where they can search for you by zip code.

In the beginning of 2015, we established a homeowner-focused website educating homeowners across the nation about the benefits of home performance work, and directing them to locate a BPI GoldStar Contractor in their area to make these upgrades. This website is the destination for advertising on social media outlets such as Facebook and also our Google AdWords campaigns, yielding over 10,000 visits a month.

Company-Wide Assessment

When your company applies to the program, you will be asked to complete an assessment survey to determine your company’s QMS, business management, and sales and marketing training needs. With BPI staff assistance, you will develop a skills enhancement plan for your managers and staff based on the assessment.

Throughout the program BPI provides a business-to-business mentoring network, free training webinars and resources, and partially subsidized training by industry experts in QMS, marketing, and business management.

Mentoring

At the time of application, a company may apply to become a BPI Business-to-Business Mentor. Mentors receive CEUs toward BPI certifications and brand recognition of their mentor status on BPI’s website. Companies must meet selective criteria to provide mentoring services. Companies may choose to mentor within or outside of their own service area.
