Fundamentals of House Characterization

House Characterization (HC) was developed to reduce efforts and maximize efficiency in retrofitting a home.  This session is how to have visual perception that gives the ability to see and interpret information about homes and the ability to comprehend and process information mentally.

A House Characterization visit is not an energy audit! Its goal is to improve the relationship between the homeowner, WAP Agency, and performance company, and to understand expectations so that the performance goals of the homeowner and funders can be met. This session is designed to increase accuracy of our understanding, and anticipate the difficulty and complexity of retrofits, all while doing no harm.

2.Learn how to think about simple to the most complex houses.
3.Learn how to have stronger confidence in doing the right work, in addition to doing work right
