This interactive webinar takes a closer look at common myths, misconceptions, and mistakes surrounding healthy housing, lead hazards, indoor air quality, worker safety, and building science. From what “lead free” really means to misconceptions about air purifiers, mold, lead-based paint, and blower door testing, this session will challenge commonly held assumptions and explore what the science actually tells us.

We’ll examine real-world examples, discuss where information can be misunderstood or misapplied, and explore practical solutions for avoiding common mistakes. The goal is to leave attendees better prepared to recognize potential hazards, question assumptions, and make informed decisions that protect both workers and occupants.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify common myths and misconceptions related to lead hazards, healthy housing, and indoor air quality
  • Apply practical solutions to avoid common healthy housing and lead-related mistakes and support safer work practices
