The Building Performance Institute (BPI) has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors.

Ellen R. Tohn, founder of Tohn Environmental Strategies; Brandon Robinson, Product Manager at Owens Corning; and Krista Egger, Director of Initiatives at Enterprise Community Partners join BPI's Board of Directors, effective today. Ms. Egger, Mr. Robinson, and Ms. Tohn will serve on the BPI Board of Directors for terms of three years.

"BPI is very pleased to welcome Krista, Ellen, and Brandon to our Board of Directors. They bring great expertise, years of experience, and important perspectives to areas of the residential housing market that are critical to BPI's mission, including affordable housing, healthy homes, and manufacturing. We look forward to their contributions to move the Home Performance industry forward," said Board Chairman Dick Kornbluth.

BPI thanks outgoing Vice Chair Sydney Roberts, Ph.D (Southface) and Don Kosanka (Owens Corning) for their service to BPI as their terms conclude.

The BPI Board of Directors now has 16 members.

Krista Egger is the Director of Initiatives at Enterprise Community Partners. With more than a decade of experience leading energy efficiency initiatives with affordable housing stakeholders, Krista manages Enterprise's national Green Initiative.  She led the technical development and public roll-out of the 2015 Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, provides strategic oversight for the Enterprise Green Communities Certification program, leads Enterprise's Health Action Plan framework which pairs public health professionals with affordable housing development teams, and she manages the development and delivery of a suite of associated trainings, tools, grants, and initiatives.  Previously, Krista directed Advanced Energy's Affordable Housing business unit which provides programmatic and building science expertise.  She led the award-winning guaranteed-performance SystemVision program and consulting services with Habitat for Humanity International, NeighborWorks, and utility clients.  Ms. Egger is based in Washington, D.C.

Brandon Robinson has been with Owens Corning 18 years. He has been in Residential Insulation for 10 years primarily focused on retrofit, loosefill, and accessories.  He joined the Residential Insulation Business in 2007 to develop Owens Corning's product systems and business models for remodeling contractors. Mr. Robinson currently manages the full blown-in insulation product portfolio, remodeler business development, and contractor training program. Prior to joining Owens Corning, Brandon started a roofing and remodeling business. He has a BA in Finance and Economics from Purdue, and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management. Mr. Robinson is based in Toledo, Ohio.

Ellen R. Tohn is the founder and principal of Tohn Environmental Strategies and a nationally recognized expert in housing based environmental health threats, green and healthy housing, and indoor air quality. She is an environmental health consultant with over 30 years of experience. Ms. Tohn works with housing developers, property owners and managers, and energy efficiency programs to create green and healthy housing and developed the nationally recognized One Touch™ approach.  She has assisted health advocates catalyze policy solutions; designed energy efficiency programs incorporating health protections; and managed environmental health research studies.  Ms. Tohn served as an advisor to the US Green Building Council's LEED program, Enterprise Green Communities, Delos Living, EPA, Department of Energy, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and numerous green building programs. Ms. Tohn is a nationally recognized trainer, providing professional development to over 7,000 individuals.  Ms. Tohn is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Brown School of Public Health. She received her BA from Cornell University and a Masters from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Ms. Tohn is based in Wayland, Massachusetts.
