(Malta, NY) September 13, 2016 - The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) has recognized one new product in its Product Listing Program that meets or exceeds industry standards.
In the diagnostic category, Heating & Cooling Products, Inc. listed their TotalSeal™ pipes and fittings, which are factory-sealed and include sealant in the longitudinal and transverse seams. This ensures that a proper seal is created upon installation and eliminates the need to apply additional tapes or mastics. TotalSeal™ is UL certified, meeting UL 181 criteria and SMACNA Class 3 & 4 leakage standards to 10"WC.
To be featured on BPI's approved Product List on its website, products must meet the appropriate industry standard or efficacy requirement that BPI identifies. Once the product is tested, reviewed and approved, the product's manufacturer is eligible to place the BPI Product Mark on its packaging and marketing materials. The benefits of being included on the Product Listing website include differentiation of higher quality materials, identification as a leader in the home performance industry and direct connection of consumers and contractors to the manufacturer's website.
